What is magnetic biology?
Magnetic biology is a science that deals with the biological impacts of weak static and low-frequency magnetic fields. Among other things, magnetic biology research puts an emphasis on the magnetic navigation of migratory animals such as birds. Some animals are able to find seasonal habitats based on small variations of the geomagnetic field as well as its magnetic inclination.
The influence of background electromagnetic fields on humans is also studied in magnetic biology. Since some electromagnetic fields pose a health risk, more research is needed in this area.
