What are hard magnetic ferrites?
Ferrite permanent magnets consist of hard magnetic ferrites. Hard magnetic ferrites have a high coercivity, which makes them very robust and resistant to demagnetization, and they also have a high permeability. Hard magnetic ferrites are used in most household products, including refrigerator magnets.
The most common hard ferrites include strontium ferrite (SrFe12O19) and barrium ferrite (BaFe12O19), each of which is used in various industrial and engineering fields.
