Ring Magnets
What is a ring magnet?
Strong magnets with a hole are called ring magnets. A distinction is made between neodymium ring magnets and ferrite ring magnets, whose characteristics are different. Neodymium ring magnets are considered to be the strongest magnets in the world and, in direct comparison, have a higher magnetic strength at a smaller size than ferrite ring magnets. In turn, ceramic ring magnets are more temperature resistant and can be exposed to very high temperatures up to 200°C.
Every GAUDER ring magnet is
- handy,
- robust,
- high-quality,
- resistant and
- universally applicable.
When choosing a GAUDER ring magnet, you should therefore pay particular attention to its environment and area of application. If you are looking for strong super magnets that you can use at temperatures below 80°C, then neodymium ring magnets are the right choice. If, on the other hand, you want to use your desired magnets at hotter temperatures, then you should opt for ferrite ring magnets. At GAUDER, you will quickly find what you are looking for and can be sure that you will only receive first-class magnets.
What are magnetic rings used for?
Neodymium ring magnets and ferrite ring magnets can be used in many ways: depending on the strength, a ring magnet can be used in households as well as in industry, technology and crafts. In medical technology, for example, large neodymium ring magnets are used when operating an MRI. Ferrite ring magnets are used often in electronics, and without them there would be neither generators nor electric motors.
Small and large ring magnets from GAUDER are suitable for everyday household and hobby applications, for example for model making or decorations. In our guide you will find numerous other possible applications for magnets. Learn more about what you can do with our ring magnets, magnetic tapes and other products and get inspired. You will be surprised how many creative projects of any kind you can put into practice with our magnets.
Ring magnets as teaching aids
Strong neodymium ring magnets can also be used in schools and universities. For example, let children playfully learn about the characteristics of various magnets or use experiments to demonstrate the magnetic field of ring magnets. Or you can use smaller GAUDER ring magnets to attach teaching materials, drawings or photos to blackboards, whiteboards and other surfaces in classrooms and teachers' rooms.
Ring magnets from GAUDER — Your advantages at a glance
Neodymium ring magnets are powerful magnets that are suitable for many purposes, such as handicraft work, commercial model making or as a support in your own workshop. Ring magnets are also used in alternative medicine.
We offer a selection of differently polarized magnets. Axially magnetized neodymium ring magnets have their magnetic pole on the two opposite circular surfaces, diametrical ring magnets on the left and right parallel to the diameter. These powerful magnets are often used in industry, model making, medicine and workshops, but are also used in schools or universities.
