What is axial magnetization?
In axial magnetization, the north and south poles of a magnet are on opposite sides of a horizontal line close to its diameter. This is contrasted with diametrical magnetization, where the poles are on opposite positions of a vertically extending line.
Most neodymium magnets and all ferrite magnets are axially magnetized.
